The Mountain

the Basica

While many view spiritual progress as ascending a mountain to its pinnacle, a different view is also possible. One could also engage in spiritual development not as advancement but as fulfillment, so that one comes to fully and holistically inhabit the entire mountain, from its deep subterranean caverns to its very peak. This approach is about neither rising nor falling. It is an expansion. It involves an orientation not of goal pursuit but of arrival upon arrival within arrival. It is an allowing of flow and an evolution of realization in all realms. It acknowledges the existence of a larger picture of life without promoting complacency concerning how each comparatively small individual goes about living.
